  We've been with Harrington Bank for 6 years now - and if there were ANY other local bank we would switch in a second! First gripe: They offer NO Saturday hours (some of us can't get to the bank because we work M-F, 9-6). Second gripe: The whole desk set-up inside the bank is ridiculous - I don't want people to try to greet me by name and "offer me a seat and have a cup of tepid coffee" - I just want to do my bank transactions with a professional and get out. Third, I am especially irritated this Saturday morning because I received a new ATM card in the mail and had to go to the ATM machine to activate it - the instructions clearly state..."You must make your first transaction at an ATM using your personal identification number." I did just that - and of course on the third try it ate my card. Of course the bank isn't open on Saturday and there is no phone/email/chat customer service available on the weekend. Now I will have to take off work to go physically to the bank and have them issue a new card - and give me a new PIN. Just go with a different bank – the NC State Employees' Credit Union sounds like a much better option. There is absolutely no advantage to banking with Harrington – only frustration.
